What to bring

Please bring the following items, all labeled with the camper's name:

• clothing for warm days and cool nights, including long pants
• jacket
• proper footwear for hiking and sports
• swimsuit
• towel, toothbrush and other personal toiletries
• hat
• sunscreen and insect repellent
• rain gear
• shoes to wear in the river (must be a pair that cannot fall off)
• sleeping bag and pillow
• lifejacket (optional -- Salem provides lifejackets for all campers who need them)
• medications (please see our Medical page for more info)

DO NOT bring:

• CD players, MP3 players, walkmans, radios or video games
• money -- there is no oopportunity to spend money at Salem
• cigarettes or other tobacco products
